What is the best way to train for marine boot camp? what are the final physical requirements?

Some recruting offices have programs were all the pooles gather 1,2,3 times a week depending on your station, and they PT together, if not train by yourself. the minimum you have to do to begin boot camp is 2 pull ups, or chin ups, doesnt matter which, 45 crunches in 2 minutes and run 1.5 miles like in 13 minutes( dont remember the time , might be 15 minutes) but at least 13 … if u have a problem making this then you will go to PCP or physical conditioning program where u are stuck in limbo and treated like crap until u meet the minimum requirements.

Say if I go sign up tomorrow , how fast can a recruiter get me to meps , get my asvab done and ship me to boot camp.

My boyfriend is at boot camp right now and I was just wondering how long he’s going to be in training for after boot camp. He is in the infantry i think and i know he’s going to la jeune and then to missouri. I also wanted to know if he’s allowed to have visitors while he’s gone or if they get weekends off and we could go for a weekend trip while he’s still in training. I would appreciate any input that anyone has. Thanks!

I had a friend who went to boot camp about 20 years ago and his job involved taking alot of notes and he had said they typically give that job to one of the smaller guys there. Does anyone have an idea what they call that job?

Im 16 and im going to get braces soon. my whole life i wanted to be a marine. this might be a stupid question but can you go into recruit boot camp with braces on your teeth?

why one of my junior drill instructors choked me and punched me over dropping my brass in shoe polish? (was in 30 years ago). why when i went for chow, i was eyeballing the area, why did my drill instructor whispered in my ear that i was done eating before i took one bite? is this illegal denying a recruity his or her meal? why i had more trouble in Marine boot camp than any other recruits?
